DNV is authorised to act on behalf of some 130 national maritime authorities.

IHS now has rights to offer the DNV Offshore Rules and Standards including currently available Offshore Service Specifications, Offshore Standards, and Recommended Practices, including applicable published draft documents. This data provides technical requirements and acceptance data for general application by the offshore industry. DNV also is a reference data set for offshore operations in the UK, Latin America, and the Middle East. Additionally, the A/E/C companies supporting platform operation also benefit from this data.
