The American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Standards Service includes all documents copyrighted by ANSI.
Standards that have been approved by ANSI but copyrighted by other organizations
are not included in this service, but are included in the originating society's
IHS Industry Standards Service. The ANSI Service is divided into the following
nine subject sections:

Each section is available from IHS as a separate subscription service, allowing

ABOUT ANSI
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is a private, non-profit
organisation (501(c)3) that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary
standardisation and conformity assessment system.
In 1916 the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (now IEEE) invited the
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society of Civil
Engineers (ASCE), American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers (AIMME)
and the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) to join in establishing a
national body to coordinate standards development and to serve as a
clearinghouse for the work of standards developing agencies - two years later,
ANSI, originally founded as the American Engineering Standards Committee (AESC)
was formed as the national coordinator in the standards development.
